A small collection of single-purpose tools that run entirely in the browser. This page states what the site is, the standard a tool has to meet before it is published, how the site is made, and how it intends to earn — before it earns anything.
Widgetbench publishes narrow utilities: one page, one job, no account. The category is crowded, and most of what is already in it shares a set of habits — a calculator surrounded by more advertising than interface, an answer that appears only after an email address, a result with no explanation of the assumption it rests on. This site is an attempt at the same utility without those habits.
The rule that shapes everything else is that the computation happens in your browser. Not as a privacy slogan, but as an architectural commitment with consequences: there is no server that could log an input, no API that could be rate-limited or shut off, and no reason a tool should stop working if this site's traffic grows. It also means a tool page keeps working after it has loaded, with the network gone.
It publishes no reviews, ratings, testimonials, user counts or trust badges. This site has no users to quote and has run no survey. A “trusted by 40,000 professionals” line, a star rating with no raters behind it, or an invented endorsement would be fabrication, and none appears anywhere here.
It makes no first-person experiential claims. Nothing here is described as tested or tried by anyone, because nothing here was. Where a page states how a rule behaves, it is stating what the cited source says, and it links to it.
It gives no medical, legal or financial advice. The tools do arithmetic over rules. Where a statute, contract or rule of procedure governs your situation, that governs, and it may not match any option a tool offers — which is said on the tool page rather than only here.
It does not collect what you type. There is no field on this site that submits anything anywhere. That is a property of how the tools are built, not a promise about how data is handled after it is received, because none is received.
Widgetbench is produced with AI by an automated publishing system, with human review. Research, drafting, the tool code and the page construction are performed by an automated pipeline; a person reviews before publication and is accountable for what appears.
That method has a specific weakness, and naming it is part of being honest about the method: an automated system can restate a source confidently while having misread it, and it can write code that looks correct and is subtly wrong at a boundary. Two countermeasures are applied, and both are visible from outside. Every rule a tool implements is linked to its primary source, so no reader has to take this site's word for it. And the logic of each tool is separated from its page into a module with a test suite covering the edge cases, so a claim like “this handles the year boundary correctly” corresponds to a test that fails if it stops being true.
“Last verified” means the date a linked source was read and the statements here were confirmed to match it. It does not mean the source has not changed since. Legislation is amended and agencies revise their published schedules, so an old date is displayed rather than hidden, and should be read as a prompt to check the linked source.
Currently: nothing at all. There is no advertising, no affiliate link, no sponsorship, no paid placement and no paid version of any tool on this site as of 2026-08-02. There is nothing to buy here.
Intended: display advertising, disclosed. The plan is to carry display advertising to cover hosting and pay for the work. It has not been applied for, which is the only reason none is here today. This is stated in advance deliberately — it would be easy to present the current absence of advertising as a principle, and it is not one. It is a matter of timing.
The commitments that apply when advertising exists. It will be visibly separated from the tools rather than dressed as part of the interface. No result will be gated behind viewing it. It will never influence what a tool computes or what an explanation says, and no advertiser will get a say in either. If an advertising network's requirements ever conflict with a tool remaining free, complete and browser-local, the tool stays as it is.

This site sets no cookies, runs no third-party advertising or analytics scripts, and asks for no account or email address. The values you enter into a tool are processed in your browser and are not transmitted.
Aggregate page counts are recorded without cookies and without personal data: a single one-pixel image request carrying a small set of fixed labels that are identical for every visitor, plus, on tool pages, a second one recording that a calculation produced a result. Neither carries any value you typed, any identifier, or anything that could distinguish one reader from another.
Tools may be embedded in other pages, including internal ones, without asking and without a licence fee. Each tool page documents its own embed snippet; the embedded copy keeps a small credit link and loads no third-party code into the host page. Linking to a specific result is supported directly — tool pages keep their state in the URL, so the address bar always holds a link that reproduces what is on screen.
